A man accused of sexually abusing a young girl was arraigned in Marion County Circuit Court Wednesday.
David Gorman, 56, of Rivesville, faces charges of sexual assault and abuse.
In April 2017, Gorman was arrested and charged with second-degree sexual assault and sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.
Police said the girl, who is under the age of 14, told classmates what happened, and a classmate told school administrators.
Gorman pleaded not guilty during his arraignment. His attorney also requested the trial be continued until the court's next trial term.
Judge David James granted the attorney's request and said Gorman's trial will be continued until the June 2018 term.
