BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. - “You get it in your Mom’s kitchen, we have it here.”
That's exactly how Director of Operations Charity Carrigan describes Little Sandy's Restaurant in Bruceton Mills.
Chances are whatever you order is made just how mom would if you were gathered around her table.
“Our regulars that come in, the people that work here, we embrace everybody as a family," Carrigan said. "They go out of their way to make sure everyone is treated like family.”
Little Sandy's feeds everyone like family too, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from a menu that has anything you could want from breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert.
It's all located just off the Bruceton Mills exit on I-68.
“Pancakes, eggs, bacon, hamburgers, steaks for breakfast and dinner, liver and onions is another favorite of everybody’s," Carrigan said of the menu. "We do a daily special of homemade things. We do stuffed cabbage rolls, stuffed peppers.”
The menu also features buckwheat cakes and sausage, sausage biscuits and gravy, and a fried fish special that has the place packed on Fridays.
So with all those options, what’s the favorite?
“Love the burgers," Carrigan said. "Miss Maddie makes the best burgers in the world back there.”
Miss Maddie has been with Little Sandy's restaurant since around the time it opened in the mid 1970s.
“Margie, she’s been here, she’s waited on people when they was babies, and now they come in with their grand babies," Carrigan said of another long-time employee. "It’s good to be part of the community. We strive for that.”
From the regulars to folks just passing through, Little Sandy’s is ready with a full menu and a friendly atmosphere.
“Our customers become more than customers. They become family to us," Carrigan said.
Little Sandy's believes in full plates and a full wallet, so prices are affordable and the portions are large.
You'll find them located at 44 Fuel Drive in Bruceton Mills.
