Mother Nature dishes out more snow, making this Valentine's Day a chore for florists.
By J. Turchetta
BUCKHANNON- -- Valentine's Day, a day that should have had local florists counting the green, had them seeing red instead.
But mother nature had different plans for the day. Instead of love and joy for delivery drivers it was a mess to say the least.
While flurries were flying outside, inside Anita's Flower Shop there was a flurry of activity.
Last minute orders, trying to make deliveries and get everything ready for a slew of customers who were in and out all day long.
While the staff at Anita's flowers is happy to have the business, they're not so happy with the weather.
While it may not be ideal for the folks trying to get make their holiday deliveries there is a silver lining. Anita's Flower Shop, despite the blowing snow, bad roads and low visibility had a pretty good valentines day. Early Wednesday, they had so many orders they couldn't deliver them all.
