Morgantown -- A new technology is giving doctors and medical students a chance to experience real life emergencies using mannequins
The mannequins are based on simulation technology
It started in the military but now the "real life" teaching tools are coming to Morgantown to benefit patients and students.
The mannequins are wireless and controlled by computers. But the life like features are a vital lesson for West Virginia University medical students.
The mannequin can perform more than 72,000 human reactions including having a pulse and answering questions.
The WVU Health Sciences Center It is planning to build a simulation technology center that will house some of the latest teaching tools.
And the staff says the new facility will be a valuable addition while preparing for the future.
