Police identify the student as Alex Cather

MORGANTOWN  -- Police have identified the West Virginia University Student found dead in his apartment Saturday morning.

Police say the body of twenty-two-year-old Alex Cather was found at his apartment on Sharon Avenue in Morgantown. Cather was a Clarksburg native and a WVU Student

Police responded to the apartment a little before 11:00a.m. Saturday morning.

The medical examiner was called in, and pronounced Cather dead.

The Morgantown Police are asking that anyone who had contact with Alex Cather on Friday and into the morning hours of Saturday to contact the police.
