KINGWOOD -- A Preston County man who killed his pregnant girlfriend and her four-year-old son was sentenced Wednesday morning.
James Degasperin, 36, will spend between 92 and 100 years in prison.
He was convicted last month on three counts of second-degree murder and two counts of concealing Collin and Lori Casteel's bodies.
The crimes happened in April 2007.
Degasperin was sentenced to 30 years on each murder count and 1 to 5 years on each count of concealment.
He will serve each of those sentences consecutively and will be given credit for time he has already served.
Degasperin's attorneys petitioned for a new trial Wednesday.
The judge denied the request.
The victim's families gave statements before the sentencing.
He is currently being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
