Mercer County Party To Benefit Denver Foundation

BLUEFIELD- -- An upcoming Halloween Party will benefit the Bob Denver Foundation out of Princeton.

Local artist Alex Crookshanks is organizing the party for Saturday, Nov. 1.

It will be held at the Bluefield Area Arts and Science Center.

This is the second time it will be held in Bluefield.

Crookshanks has organized the party for many years, but always out of his home.

It's gotten so large that it moved last year.

It's $10 in advance, $15 at the door to attend. Guests can expect a costume contest, live music and door prizes.

All of the money raised will be given to the Bob Denver Foundation.

It's a non-profit organization that helps handicapped and disadvantaged children in southern West Virginia.
