SHINNSTON -- The authorities say a Lincoln High School student who may have contracted bacterial meningitis is in stable condition. The girl is still undergoing tests to confirm the diagnosis.
Health officials have been working with friends and family on the student and are urging anyone that could have had contact with the student to get the vaccine. In the meantime, the Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department says it gave out about 20 vaccines on Thursday. It received a shipment of 600 vaccines Thursday afternoon and will distribute them for free to students and faculty members on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the office on Main Street in Clarksburg.
Students must of accompanied by a parent and bring their vaccination records.
