BRIDGEPORT -- People driving along Interstate 79, north of Clarksburg might have noticed MedBrook's new signs. The facility has teamed up with a nationwide leader in the field and says they want to provide the area with the highest quality care available. A new addition to the signs welcomes the brand new partnership with MedExpress.

"MedExpress is a real natural partner," said Medbrook founder Dr. Kelly Nelson.

Officials from MedExpress, a nation-wide leader in urgent care whose national headquarters is in Morgantown, says they welcome the new addition.

"We are very impressed with Dr. Nelson, their 20 year history, their proven track record of exceeding patient expectation," said Dr. Frank Alderman, co-founder of MedExpress, "and we wanted to associate with that type of partner."

The Med Express chain started in the Wharf District on Morgantown and now has 36 locations in four different states. Officials say expansion is only one of the company's goals. Both Dr. Alderman and Dr Nelson agree that priority one is patient care.

Even though expansion is an added bonus for both companies Dr. Nelson says another office is in the future for Medbrook. Medbrook will be adding an office on Jerry Dove Drive near the new United Hospital Center within the next two years.

Both doctors agree that both companies are full of West Virginia values.

"When you look at the value of our companies, it's to be genuine, to be caring, and to be friendly," said Dr. Alderman.

MedExpress will also be opening a new Pennsylvania branch at the end of April.
