CLARKSBURG -- The Harrison County Master Gardeners group says they know sometimes questions come up with new gardeners. That's why they set up shop at the 4-H Rec Center to some answer questions and give some friendly advice.

This is the 10th year for the clinic, and the second year that it has been held at the 4-H Center, according to event organizers.

West Virginia University's Extension Service provided the club with extra training. Now the Master Gardeners are passing that knowledge on. The club is required to give back at least 30 hours to the community this year.

"This is a kind of serve that we give back to the community," said Linda Hogue, and organizer of the event. "It's in exchange for what WVU gave us."

Over 70 vendors set up for the event but the clinic doesn't just give the public the chance to buy flowers. There are also four different classes taught through out the day, discussing everything from tips to a better garden, to yoga to keep those aches and pains away.

Hogue says that the clinic is only one project the club is digging into.

"We do pruning at the Hospice garden and we have a square foot garden we just started on Monticello Avenue."

But in case you didn't make it out to the clinic and you have a burning question that needs an answer, you can reach WVU's Harrison County Extension at 304-624-8650.
