The sheriff's department cannot promise anything.

KINGWOOD -- Preston Memorial Hospital is asking for a police presence, during this year's All Good Festival.

The festival is set for July 9 through July 12, at Marvin's Mountaintop, near Masontown.

Steve Edmond, the manager of the hospital's emergency room, wants a deputy present in the emergency room at all times during those four days.

Preston County Sheriff Dallas Wolfe says he will see what he can do, but that providing additional officers will be very expensive.

All the police were at the gate to All Good and on the road to event

I sincerely doubt that the hospital received the requested support because the officers were extremely committed to harassing and intimidating law abiding citizens at the gate and on the road to All Good. They were busy issuing tickets to people who had cracked taillights or had their feet out the windows. A ludicrous waste of taxpayer money when they could be investigating REAL crimes! 7 felony arrests in a crowd of 25000 is less than a fraction of a percent. They had armed officers in the concert field (full of peaceful music fans.) I have not witnessed this at any other music festival. Puzzling and unwelcoming since one of the festival rules is: NO Weapons!

There's a lot of liability issues with police/security. They couldn't just hire local people because if a local hurt someone it would be the police dept.'s responsibility. Where are other security companies? I wonder how other large festivals handle these types of things?

If All Good Festival can pay off the people who live in the few house right next to the festival just for dealing with it going on next to their house, then All Good has plenty of money to go around and hire local men to assist the town police officers with the people who are causing problems. I am sure that hiring 10-15 guys to assist in people control would Alleviate masontown police to do the jobs needed around the festival and at the festival.

how about hiring some security guards or local men that will act in secutirty guard mode / police officer mode to help the police. I am sure local men can be used in many instances and use the money. All good festival has enough cash to help keep the peace for masontown people who have to deal with the crap 4 days out of the year. ie. people, traffic, cant get to homes, work b/c of this festival.and chasing the people off the properties b/c no one provides out housing for the long car rides to the festival grounds.
