MORGANTOWN -- Sunday's nice weather in Morgantown brought a crowd of people out for the second day of the Arts on the River Festival.
The annual event showcases the area's local artists.
It was held this weekend at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. There was live music, food and West Virginia wine.
"There's so many local artisans and artists here that you would never know about if you didn't come see them here," says Karen Spencer creator of Old Glass.
There were more than a dozen crafters displaying paintings, pottery, and jewelry all on the waterfront.
The West Virginia Botanic Garden is holding a tour of private gardens in the Morgantown area.
Representatives from the West Virginia Botanic Garden were also at the Arts on the River Festival selling tickets for Saturday's "Gardens of the Mon" tour.
The event tours eight private residential gardens in the Suncrest neighborhood.
Organizers say they've been doing the tour for about seven years, but this year the tour is unique because all eight of the gardens are concentrated within a 2 mile radius.
"We chose gardens that are exceptional," says Kerr Crosby, WV Botanic Garden.
"Gardens that we can invite people to come and see to get ideas for themselves. Some times they're very intricate gardens and some times they're very simple," says Crosby.
The Garden Tour is Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Tickets Sale Locations: Galloway Florist, Garden Creations, The Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau, Hillside Florist, Just Add Water, Mt. Zion Nursery, Tatham's Garden Center, and the WVU Extension Office.
