SCOTT'S RUN -- People joined together in Monongalia County Saturday afternoon to have a special celebration.
A large crowd gathered at the Shack Neighborhood House to dedicate the Historical Scott's run sign.
Music, food and a historical skit was held in celebration of the sign that marks the Scott's Run community.
Residents and contributors have worked long and hard to see that the sign was put at the end of the Star City Bridge.
"It's great and Scott's Run deserves it because of all the coal miners that lost their lives and worked in the coal mines up here it's great that we don't forget the area and it needs to be preserved," said Louis Birurakis.
The Scott's Run Community Parks and Recreation hope to raise money in the future for more signs along Scott's Run to designate the individual and historical towns.
