KINGWOOD -- A Preston County Grand Jury has indicted 34 people on various charges.

Leonard E. Wotring III, 25, faces a first degree murder charge.

Wotring was in the Preston County Jail back in 2005 for attempted murder, according to Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Bill Means.

Wotring went into his grandfather's bedroom in his Terra Alta home, pointed a gun at him, pulled the trigger, according to Means. The gun misfired.

While in the jail, prosecutors believe Wotring aided in the hanging of Timothy Daft, Means said.

Deputies found Daft hanging in his cell on the morning of Aug. 3, 2005, just days before the jail closed.

Daft's hanging was originally ruled a suicide, and appeared to be the third hanging at the jail that summer.

Evidence later showed that Daft's death was not a suicide, although Means declined to say what that evidence is.

Wotring is currently in the Mt. Olive Correctional Center serving his sentence on the attempted murder charge, according to the Division of Corrections website.

His projected release date on that charge is April 15, 2014, the site says.

Juan Eduardo Fonseca, 24, of Oakland, Md., is charged with attempted first degree murder and malicious assault.

Fonseca was at a bar near Terra Alta in April 2009, Means said.

When Fonseca came out of the bar, he saw the alleged victim in the incident, Patrick Friend, sitting in a car waiting to pick up friends who were also at the bar, said Means.

Fonseca stabbed Friend multiple times, according to Means, before Friend drove away.

Fonseca is in the Huttonsville Correctional Center on conspiracy charges out of Grant County, according to the Division of Corrections website.

John Curry, 35, of Fellowsville, is charged with burglary, attempted sexual abuse, attempted first-degree murder, and stalking, Means said.

Authorities arrested Curry on Aug. 5, 2009.

Curry allegedly watched the home of a couple who lives in the rural area near Tunnelton and visited their home several times, before the August incident, according to Means.

On that night in August, Means said Curry entered the couple's home and attempted to commit various acts against the woman.

Means declined to give details about the acts but said the victim's husband had a gun and that is what stopped Curry.

While Means did not divulge specific details, he did say Curry had charges for violent incidents in his past.

Sharmaine Marie McRae, 30, of Washington, D.C., faces charges of delivery and transferring controlled substances, for allegedly trying to deliver heroin to an inmate at the United States Penitentiary (USP) - Hazelton in July, Means said.

The FBI and the prison's Special Investigative Unit told state police they had credible information that a drug delivery was going to be made during visitation hours on the morning of July 3, 2009.

A state trooper and a member of the Preston County Drug Task Force intercepted McRae before her scheduled visit, and found $84,600 worth of heroin and other unnamed contraband.

Shawn Graham, 44, of Kingwood is charged with embezzlement.

State Police arrested Graham for allegedly taking tens of thousands of dollars from her employer in April.

Graham was working for a Kingwood attorney, and took somewhere between $35,000 and $80,000 from the business, troopers said. Graham was already on probation on similar charges in Garrett County, Maryland, according to State Police.

Sergio Llovio, 21, of Alexandria Virginia is charged with possession with intent to deliver Ecstasy and transportation of controlled substances into the state, Means said.

Troopers arrested Llovio and two others in June, after they stopped the trio on Route 7 near Masontown for speeding.

They found 677 Ecstasy pills in their vehicle, which troopers say had a street value of more than $16,000.

Llovio was headed to a rave called Willa Wonka and the Bass Factory, according to state police.
