NUTTER FORT -- The Harrison County Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on a new business in Nutter Fort Friday morning.

The Amos Carvelli Funeral Home held a reception to celebrate its new business on Edison Street.

Owners Randy Amos and Paul Carvelli both worked at Davis Funeral Home in Clarksburg, and have a combined 40 years of experience.

They created their establishment as a home first to offer comfort to those in their time of need, says Carvelli.

"We both had strong ties to our community and we both were reared here," explained Amos. "We want to continue our services to the families that we knew and were loyal to us over the years and give back to them our service."

"I've known these two gentlemen for several years," remarked Mayor Donald Webster. "We're very proud to welcome them into the town of Nutter Fort. It's going to be a good mix for both of us."

The Amos Carvelli Funeral Home will be open to tours on Sunday from 11 to 5.
