MORGANTOWN -- A new student group at West Virginia University met for the first time Monday night.
Members of the Electric Vehicle Association of WVU had the chance to see the WVU Formula Lightning race car, professor Roy Nutter's personal electric pick-up truck, Morgantown resident Paul Brown's electric ZENN car and electric bicycles.
Community members and people from Pennsylvania came for the meeting.
"This is a spin off of our old Formula Lightning Team and now that everybody is becoming more energy conscious we thought it was time to do a much broader group," Nutter said.
Nutter said that while hybrids are low emission vehicles, electric cars are no emission vehicles.
