PENNSBORO -- A former dispatcher for Central Communications, Inc. is suing the company.
Kelly J. Riggs said she was sexually harassed by her supervisor while she was working, according to the court documents filed in Ritchie County Circuit Court.
Riggs claims the male dispatcher made inappropriate comments to her, made unwelcome sexual advances and touched her inappropriately, the documents state.
Riggs asserts that she reported the behavior, and that she was fired on Aug. 17.
The 911 Center's director, Tim Greenan, resigned on Sept. 1, according to Sam Rogers, Central Communications board member and Ritchie County Commissioner.
Riggs has leveled charges of sexual harassment, retaliation, and gender discrimination against the company.
Central Communications, Inc. handles 911 calls for Ritchie and Doddridge Counties.
