Actually, I think its much better to have a hot girl dressed in the Mountaineers finest and as our mascot. I can probably speak for most of my alumni friends from Grant Street, that we would much rather have her prancing around in front of us then the Dudes who were mountaineers in the past.

Do not like her at all...I don't care how enthusiastic someone is - that doesn't mean they would make a good Mountaineer. She is not authentic looking and hardly ever wears the coonskin cap - a trademark of the mascot! WVU should replace her - I'm all for women's rights, but the Mountaineer should be a guy!!!!!!!

Maybe it was because of her actions from the last home football game when was so wasted, belligerent and disrespectful that WVU decided to give her a little break. I hope that is the case!

Rebecca Durst is one of the most enthusiastic and enerjetic macsots this school has seen in a long time. She's doing a great job and I 9hope she gets the nod again next year. I feel sorry for the juvenile men, obviously insecure about there own masculinity who can't accept a female mascot and make the banal and rediculous comments like the ones posted below
