wvu alum you may have a degree but you are not very wise. I believe state tax money and federal tax money is spent at WVU. You going to school there does not in any way make it more your school that any other taxpayers. A hint is the name of the school, West Virginia University, not I have a degree from My University. If only those that have a degree would support this school we do know what would happen to it. You may need a few more hours of classes.

Nor am I uneducated. I hold a bachelor's degree and graduated with honors FYI. I have lived in this state for over 25 years, my family has roots here that go back almost 300 years. I have seen more disrespect for the state of West Virginia and it's people coming from "outsiders" since I have been in Morgantown for the past seven years than anywhere, as well as a great deal of lack of SELF-respect from college students! All one has to do is walk through Sunnyside and back through town to see the trash and vomit, or spend nights here while games are going on.

What about the dumb rednecks who couldn't have gotten into wvu if they had the money? Why are you cheering for a school you didn't go to? Pay some tuition, take some notes, some tests, study alot, after four years, you might get a degree and then I might care what you have to say about my, not your, school. And im from morgantown, born and raised, but the out of state students and alumni are worth more to this school then a billion backwood rednecks who have never attended WVU.

Most of the rude and lewd behavior I see in Morgantown comes from out-of-state students. I suspect they have no respect for West Virginia first off, then of course they are far from home where their parents, friends and family cannot see them while they set couch and street fires, get drunk and vomit all over the sidewalks and scream and yell all hours of the night and remove their clothes in public and have indiscriminate sex with multiple partners.

people most of the wv fans are kids that come to school here from ny,nj md,and pa.they are not real fans of wv real fans are the ones watching the game from there RV or the ones in the stands with there little ones the ones in the parking lot don't come from wv . NY,NJ,MD,PA .so don't talk about real wv fans ......

I agree with the article. Outside the stadium in the parking lot, all you hear and see are Mountaineer fans cussing and heckling at the other teams fans. Not all Mountaineer fans are doing this, but the ones that are doing it are the problem. Also, people stealing and from tailgating fans has become a problem. I've seen and been a victim of this. Peopl lack RESPECT in Morgantown and need to wake up. Mountaineer fans are the best, but if we keep doing this to eachother and other outside fans, we'll lose the right to tailgate and have fun.

@Jeremy - Just because the fans are rude doesn't mean that watching them burn couches and run around drunk isn't still amusing.

Jeremy, it is quite easy to understand..... is a wonderful stadium and venue, the people (fans and students) are rude and not so pleasant.

So how do you have the rudest fans AND have the favorite destination for road games?
