BLACKSBURG -- Virginia and Virginia Tech will battle for state bragging rights and for the possession of the Commonwealth Cup Saturday afternoon.
The Hokies beat up on NC State Saturday 38-10, thanks to a spectacular defensive display from senior linebacker Cody Grimm.
Grimm had eight tackles, two sacks and forced three fumbles tying an NCAA record.
Freshman tailback Ryan Williams added four touchdowns and 120 rushing yards in the win.
But that was last week, and now Hokies will look to win their fifth straight versus their in state rival Virginia.
"Like Coach Beamer says, when you're in Virginia you're either a fan of Tech or Virginia," Grimm said. "We're playing for bragging rights, so we're definitely going to come out and look for a win."
Senior defensive end Nekos Brown wants to end his collegiate career with a win.
"I've never lost to them before and I want to keep it that way," Brown said.
The battle of Virginia kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
