MORGANTOWN -- The Morgantown fire marshal has ruled a weekend fire an arson.

The fire happened in an empty duplex on Richwood Avenue, near the Woodburn neighborhood.

The fire started at about 4 a.m. Saturday, according to the fire marshal.

There have been six arsons in the Woodburn area, just across the street from this fire.

The police detained someone at the scene of the fire for questioning, but there is no word of any arrests.

In my opinion, Morgantown may need to increase it's police patrols in some of the neighborhoods over breaks and holidays. Empty houses seem to pose a temptation around here.
