CHARLESTON -- West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals will have a new chief justice in 2010.

During the Supreme Court's final administrative conference of the term, the justices voted to maintain the chief justice rotation that has been in place since its order of 1980.

That means next in the rotation is Justice Robin Jean Davis.

Davis will serve as the 2010 Chief Justice.

The Court also voted to have Justice Margaret Workman serve as chief justice in cases Davis has to recuse herself.
