FAIRMONT -- Marion County's premiere Italian street fair filled the streets of Fairmont Saturday.
The Fourth Annual Feast of the Seven Fishes is presented by Mainstreet Fairmont.
It features free entertainment, food and local gift vendors.
Organizers say the event that celebrates a rich ancestry has a bizarre history.
"The Feast of the Seven Fishes came from a comic book by Rivesville native Bob Tinnell," explained Vera Sansalone, of Mainstreet Fairmont. "So it's really a comic book, but it's a story about the Italians in this area and the traditions they have, preparing their fish feast on Christmas Eve."
