BUCKHANNON -- The Buckhannon-Upshur High School National Honor Society needs your help.
The school is participating in a national drive to collect blue jeans to donate to Haiti and to homeless shelters across the United States and Canada.
The students have collected 350 pairs so far and hope to get even more by their Friday deadline.
It's important to give the jeans to those who are less fortunate, students said.
"It's important because teens out there that are homeless don't just have access to go to Walmart and get a pair of jeans, they have no money, most likely. They just can't buy any," said National Honor Society member Emily Boggs.
People who donated jeans at Monday night's basketball game got free tee-shirts.
You can drop off clean, gently worn jeans at the high school through 3 p.m. Friday.
