The Mountaineers will take on Morgan State.

MORGANTOWN -- Sunday, the West Virginia University men's basketball team found out that it will be a number two seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Mountaineers will play the Morgan State Bears on Friday, March 19, in Buffalo, N.Y. at 12:15 p.m.

WVU is in the East region of the tournament.

Morgan State, located in Baltimore, won the Mid-eastern Athletic Conference tournament to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The two teams have only met once before on Dec. 22, 1995. The Mountaineers prevailed in that contest, played in Morgantown, 108-80.

Should the Mountaineers win the opening round game, they would face the winner of the Clemson(7)/Missouri(10) game on Sunday.

There was a lot of talk after WVU's Big East Tournament title, that the Mountaineers would claim a No. 1 seed.

Kansas, Kentucky, Duke and Syracuse ended up getting the No. 1 seeds.
