North Central West Virginia has become my ‘home away from home'.
I joined WBOY in June 2010 and I'm proud to cover Marion and Taylor Counties. I also do the weather when our meteorologists are off.
I was born and raised in Florida and attended the University of Central Florida.
I graduated from UCF's Nicholson School of Communication with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science. While at UCF, I was a reporter and anchor for UCF Knightly News and we had a weekly newscast that aired live on television. Living in such a big city, I was able to cover a wide variety of stories in and around the Central Florida area. I also interned in Orlando at FOX 35 and gained experience for reporting, producing, and uploading stories and video to the web.
I am a news junkie, and I love this industry because there is never a shortage of new information to learn.
I'm fortunate enough to work in an environment where each day is a learning experience. I'm a people person and truly enjoy what I do!
In my spare time I love to shop, workout at the gym, and stay active.
