
The West Virginia Wesleyan College Department of Athletics has released the names of five former athletes who will be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame this year. The ceremony will be held on Feb. 11, 2012.
Dr. George Klebez (Class of 1965) retired as Director of Athletics in 2008. He was also a coach and an athlete himself when he was a student in Buckhannon. Klebez is known for helping WVWC through the transition of changing from an NAIA member school to a NCAA Division II school. As AD, Klebez added women's soccer and women's golf to the Bobcat athletic program. His coaching tenure included leading the men's soccer and swimming teams.
Sue Reif Louks (Class of 1994) left her mark on Wesleyan athletics as a member of the volleyball team. Lady Bobcat volleyball was extremely successful in the 1990s. Reif Louks was a member of the team that won more than 100 WVIAC matches in a row. All four years of her time at WVWC ended in a spot on the All-WVIAC first-team squad, including two conference Player of the Year accolades. Reif Louks was also an All-Region selection and a third-team All-American pick from Wesleyan.
Monica Morin (Class of 2005) was a star in the pool for the Bobcats' swim team. He biggest accomplishment is a 2005 national championship in the 200 Butterfly. Morin hold the only individual national championship for Wesleyan, in any sport. Her name still graces several school records including the 100 and 200 Butterfly, the 400 Individual Medley and the 400 Medley Relay.
Darryl Odom (Class of 1985) will be remembered as one of the best basketball players to ever hit the court at Wesleyan. Not only was Odom a two-time selection to the first-team All-WVIAC, but also he was recognized nationally as a member of the first-team NAIA All-American squad. Odom helped the team to the 1984 NAIA National Championship Game.
Colin Rocke (Class of 1993) was a two sport athlete for the Bobcats. He excelled at both soccer and track. Rocke was a midfielder for the 1989 and 1990 men's soccer teams. Both of those squads won the NAIA National Championship. He was also a part of the 1992 team that finished the season as a national semifinalist. Rocke moved on to a profession soccer career after being named a NAIA All-American three times, along with four nods as an All-WVIAC athlete.
