Two Local Women’s Soccer Teams in DII Rankings

The NCAA has released the first set of regional women's soccer rankings for the 2011 season. Local WVIAC schools West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins represent North Central West Virginia in the Atlantic Region.

The Lady Bobcats come in at No. 7 while the Lady Senators are No. 10.

Wesleyan finished the regular season at 10-3-3 with a 6-1-2 conference record. That's good enough to earn yet another regular season championship.

D&E finished up with a 7-7-1 record, 5-3-1 in WVIAC play. The Lady Senators are fourth in the tournament seedings.

The Bobcats were 10-3-2 overall and in the region while the Senators are 7-5-1 on the year and in the Atlantic Region at the time of the voting.
