Wesleyan Freshman Earns Weekly WVIAC Volleyball Award

The West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday that West Virginia Wesleyan's Erin Bond earned this week's WVIAC Volleyball Player of the Week award.

The freshman helped the Lady Bobcats go 3-0 on the week. She recorded a .587 attack percentage and has four kills per set. Bond registered nine assists on blocks and came up with 10 digs.

The middle blocker had a .542 attack percentage, two aces and 15 kills against West Virginia State. Bond had 11 kills and a .556 attack percentage against Kentucky State. The Pennsylvania native rounded out the week helping WVWC get a victory over Davis & Elkins with 14 kills and a .667 attack percentage.

A-B's Victoria Morgan and Fairmont State's Amber Wilson were named as other top performers.
