If you like ribs, you'll love Chancey's Grill. Located on Route 19 in Fairmont, Chancey's grill has only been open for close to a year, and It's already serving a dedicated fan base. "I come here for lunch, I bring my 91-year-old father here for lunch and come out in the afternoon and have a couple cold ones and just relax," said Gail Redmond, Barracksville resident. The restaurant caters to families, bar-goers and anyone in-between. The menu offers a wide variety. "We have anything from a club sandwich to a crab cake dinner. It's just a wide variety, we have steak and ribs, "said head cook Brent Hayhurst. If Chancey's doesn't have it on the menu, the guys in the Kitchen are willing to make it. "People don't just order off the menu here. They can come in and if they want something and if I have it in the refrigerator or freezer, I'll make it for them," said Hayhurst. Chancey's was opened by Jeff Hayhurst, and his brother, Brent, the head cook. The restaurant is named after Jeff's old chocolate lab, Chancey, who passed away as the two were preparing to open the restaurant.. "He meant a lot to the whole family, he was part of the family," said Hayhurst. Chancey's family is now its customers. Gail Redmond can't stop talking about the ribs. "You don't pick up the bone if you don't want to. You just take a fork and just take them off and just cut them up, I love the ribs, I had them for lunch," he said.
