Bridgeport High School senior Cameron Ford signed a national letter of intent, Monday. Ford will take his golf career to the next level, playing at Erskine College in South Carolina.

Located in Due West, S.C., Erskine is a NCAA Division II school. The Flying Fleet is a member of Conference Carolinas.

While playing off season and with the Indians, Ford helped Bridgeport to a second place finish in the 2011 State Golf Tournament. He shot a 66 and finished as a medalist in an eighteen-hole four squad high school golf match at the Pete Dye Golf Club this year.

Ford also has accomplished more playing as an Amateur all over the state. He took second place in the Champions Division of the West Virginia Junior Amateur and was a quarter finalist in the Junior Match Play Tournament. Ford also represented the North team in the 2011 West Virginia North/South Ryder Cup.
