After what was undoubtedly the best season in Adam Neugebauer's career, the quarterback has earned the highest honor for his position on the field from the WVIAC. Neugebauer is the 2011 Offensive Player of the Year.
The Pittsburgh native led West Virginia Wesleyan to a 9-2 record. Though the Bobcats were not selected for the NCAA Division II playoffs, Wesleyan was ranked in the Top 25 for the majority of the season. At one point, the Bobcats were 11th in the AFCA poll.
Neugebauer finished his senior campaign in Buckhannon leading all of D-II football in passing and total offense. That was also reflected in the conference as he topped the WVIAC in passing with 373.7 yards per game, a 154.0 pass efficiency rating. Neugebauer also led the league in total offense with 365.2 yards. In just this one season, Adam Neugebauer threw for 4,111 yards and 40 touchdowns.
