The Alderson-Broaddus men's basketball team is looking to rebound from a disappointing season in 2010-2011.
Last year was the first time under head coach Greg Zimmerman that the Battlers finished below fourth in the conference, didn't win 20 games and the first time in nine years A-B didn't make the NCAA Division II tournament. Hopefully, that was a fluke.
Coach Zimmerman is in the Top 10 of Division II coaches in career winning percentage and A-B will have it's leading scorer back in Nate Barnes.
Roy Brown is also a returning starter, add a few junior college transfers and the Battlers will move to a four-guard set this season.
A-B did lose its first game of the season to UDC.
