West Virginia Wesleyan senior quarterback Adam Neugebauer has been named a finalist for the Harlon Hill trophy. The award is given to the national Division II Player of the Year.

Neugebauer led the Bobcats to an over all record of 18-4 in his two full years as the starting quarterback. This year he led the country in passing yards (4,111) and touchdowns (40).

After winning the regional ballot, he now advances to the national ballot made up from eight other players from around the country.

The national ballot consists of six quarterbacks and three running backs. The quarterbacks are: North Alabama's Lee Chapple, Delta State's Micah Davis, Nebraska-Kearney's Jake Spitlberger, Midwestern State's Brandon Kelsey and Washburn's Dane Simoneau. The trio of running backs include: Southern Connecticut State's Rashaad Slowey, Mars Hill's Jonas Randolph, and Hillsdale's Joe Glendening.

National voting concludes on December 2, and the winner will be announced December 16.
