CLARKSBURG -
On this week's ‘Test It Tuesday' we're trying EZ Moves, the do-it yourself furniture moving system.
We're going to see how easy it actually is to move furniture.
The box includes a furniture lifter, eight furniture slides, and some pretty big claims.
It says you can move furniture pieces that weigh up to 2,600 pounds.
For this experiment, we enlisted the help of Katie Smith, who wanted to try and move her big green chair.
Instructions:
1. Place the furniture lifter under the leg or bottom of item that sits directly on the carpet or the floor.
2. Position the lifter at an angle and lift furniture.
3. Place one furniture slide foam side-up under each corner of the item you're lifting.
4. Slide furniture to its new position.
Katie was shocked at how easy the chair slid to the other side of her family room.
"I've moved this chair more times then I care to admit and that's the easiest it's ever been. I'm really impressed," she said.
Not one to be easily persuaded, Katie decided to try EZ Moves on a wooden chest.
"It's a little heavier then the chair and it's filled with clothes. It moves just as easily," she said.
We asked Katie to rate the product on a 1-5 scale.
"I'll give it a 4.8, and only because we didn't get to move everything in my apartment. It says it will also work on wood and laminate floors so I'd be interested to see that," she said.
The product will cost you around $20.
