LAUREL VALLEY -
Three people were injured in a fire in the Laurel Valley area of Harrison County, Friday morning.
It happened at a home on Cedar Street, just before 8:30 a.m.
One adult and two two-year-old twin children suffered burns in the fire. The father was able to get one of the children out of the house. With the help of the children's grandfather, who lives across the street, they broke the window out of the second child's room, to rescue the child, witnesses said.
Three medical helicopters were called in to transport the victims to the hospital. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.
Five fire departments, Harrison County EMS and the Harrison County Sheriff's Department were called to the scene.
The state fire marshal was also called in to investigate.
