The NCAA Division II football season is over for our local WVIAC teams. "Bowl Season" is just starting.
Seven Glenville State College football players will travel to Allentown, Pa. for the 2nd Annual National Bowl Game. The game will be played at J. Birney Crum Stadium, Sunday Dec. 4. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
Jakharie Murphy, Antwan Stewart, Jordan Griffin, Ahkeem Figgs, Norman Seignious, Shawn Stackhouse and Matt Parker are the Pioneers selected to participate.
The National Bowl Game is an all-star showcase created by East Preps. The contest will feature players from all NCAA divisions, but it's mostly smaller school players participating.
The game will be scouted by the NFL, CFL and Arena League teams. The coaches are from the AFL and indoor teams.
