One way for me to get over that TOUGH Michigan State loss to Wisconsin in the B1G Championship game was to watch more football. On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers help mend my wounds with a total thrashing of the mistake-prone Cincinnati Bengals 35-7. As we look at the final four weeks of the regular season, Steeler fans should be wringing their hands with how things are shaping up.
Steelers Remaining Schedule:
Cleveland @ Home
San Francisco Away
St. Louis @ Home
Cleveland Away
My Prediction: 4-0
Getting the 4-7 Browns twice should chalk up two wins. It's also nice that 2-9 Rams haven't been the dominating team many thought they would be in the preseason. The toughest game left is the Monday night showdown with the niners. On paper they look like a championship team, but if their Turkey Day beat-down by Baltimore proved, they still have a ways to go.
Having lost both their games against the Ravens, the Steelers are going to need a little bit of help in order to win the division, but they have to focus on what they can control, and at this point that's just winning their own games against inferior opponents. It's also an opportunity to continue to learn to play at the highest level they can, which I believe they are starting to do.
So hoist your terrible towels high, because for the next four weeks it's all about the black-and-yellow-black-and-yellow getting primed for a playoff run and hopefully another chance at the Green Bay Packers in the Super bowl.
