Three cheerleading squads from north central West Virginia will represent the area in the 2011 State Cheer Competition in Charleston.

The competition starts at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Charleston Civic Center.

Harrison County's Lincoln High School will compete in Class "AA," while Clay-Battelle and Notre Dame will go for championship in Class "A."

There are no Class "AAA" schools in this year's competition.

Clay-Battelle has won four of the last five Class "A" crowns, while Lincoln had a string of three wins in Class "AA" from 2005 to 2007.  Notre Dame has not claimed a title since 1991.
