Lincoln Cougars Hoping To Improve On Last Seasons Success

The Lincoln Lady Cougars are fresh off an 18-5 season. While 18 wins is certainly an accomplishment, it stings because it signifies a "what-could-have-been" emotion. The Cougars never even left their section, after an upset win by the Philip Barbour Colts.

Coming into a fresh season, head coach Rob Hawkins has all five of his starters back, to go along with a talented freshman class that has only gotten better and more comfortable in his system of run-and-gun play.

The Cougars start their season tied for seventh in the preseason AP poll, and begin play Tuesday night against Webster County.
