High pressure, stable air moving in Saturday.
Purple air representing some COLD air for Saturday over the region.
Weather still quiet on Tuesday, some rain over southern California.
West Virginia is going to get blasted with some cold air over the weekend. Late Friday and early Saturday, a cold front will push east over the state, producing a few snow showers and flurries, most likely over the mountains, and really drop those temperatures on Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will struggle to get back to freezing in the afternoon, then really bottom out Saturday night with teens and maybe some single digits over the mountains.
Dry weather and a warming trend Sunday through Tuesday. Low pressure looks to lift back towards West Virginia Wednesday late and Thursday. Warm air ahead of the system should keep most the precipitation in the form of rain. The good news is that we will have had a good amount of time to dry out the ground after the heavy rain from this past Wednesday.
As the system pulls out next Friday, a few snow showers will be possible...stay tuned for updates!
