
Fairmont States' Steve Custis and Kaitlin Snyder along with West Virginia Wesleyans' Lydia Bridenbaugh all received WVIAC Player of the Week honors for their efforts the past week.
Custis put up 30 points against Bluefield State on Saturday. For the three games over the week, he averages 22.3 points per game to go along with 7 rebounds a contest. He shot 58 percent from the floor. The Falcons went 2-1 this past week.
Snyder averaged 18.5 points, four assists and 2.5 rebounds a contest. Snyder shot 43 percent from the floor in the two games her team won.
Bridenbaugh scored 30 points in the Bobcats lone game of the week while also having four rebounds, four assists and tallied two steals.
This is the first week of the season any players from our area have received the award.
