The Lincoln Cougars have started the season win a win and a loss. It's hard to tell how good a team will actually be having only played twice, but if they can get consistent outings like the 17 point burst they got the other night from junior Josh Rexroad, they could end up being a very dangerous team come March.
"He battled through some trying times of trying to develop into a player, I think it might have been a sophomore slump type of thing, but now he's starting to come out of his shell, he's a little extroverted, starting to come around he's starting to do the things we're asking of him to do. We're just trying to make him into a complete player, and he's starting to turn the corner," Cougar head coach Steve Buckhannon said.
Alright so I'm definitely going to put Josh to the challenge today, 17 points five rebounds last week, that's pretty impressive, how'd you do it?
"I was feeling it early on," junior Josh Rexroad added.
Well you better be feeling it today, we're going to do the typical 3-point shooting contest, five different locations, 25 different shots, don't be the first to lose to me, let's go.
Justin and Josh competed and the results weren't atypical from any of his other challenges, Josh won 18 to 6.
