The week leading up to Christmas this weekend is looking quite busy. Several low pressure systems will be lifting out of the southeast United States. As the lows lift north, they will bring some mild air, so most of these events will be in the form of rain.
Tuesday, a front stalling over northern West Virginia will bring rain showers to our neck of the woods. An early wintry mix over the northeast mountains can't be ruled out very early in the day. This wraps up by late afternoon, just in time for our next batch of rain on Wednesday. This system will have a good amount of energy with it. Rain showers, some heavy along with an isolated thunderstorm! This precip wraps up Wednesday night.
Brief bout of showers again for late Thursday night and early Friday. Again, rain.
By the time our weekend approaches, cooler air begins to move south towards West Virginia. At the same time, another low pressure system will move the Atlantic Coast. This will initially bring some rain showers, but lingering moisture and some cold air could bring some snow showers Christmas Eve and early on Christmas! Stay tuned for updates!
