As far as snow is concerned, we have had a relatively quiet year so far. The higher elevations have only had a few days with snow, while many places along the Ohio River and the lowlands have not yet had any measurable snow. But don't give up on winter yet... During the winter of 1931-1932 the first measurable snow for both Huntington and Charleston did not occur until early March. On March 6th, Charleston had 0.6 inches of snow and Huntington recorded 2.2 inches. During that same winter (1931-32), Charleston only recorded 1.2 inches and Huntington only 3.2 inches of snow.
