
A fire that destroyed a vacant dwelling on Sunday, Jan. 2 around 7:12 a.m. has been deemed suspicious, according to the W.Va. State Fire Marshal's Office.
The fire occurred at 1220 Pleasant Valley Road in Marion County. Officials said the home was a total loss.
Severe road conditions hindered emergency crews' response. Interstate 79 was also shut down at the time of the fire due to numerous vehicle accidents, according to Fire Marshal officials.
No further information is available at this time, officials said.
