
Fairmont State guard Isaac Thornton picked up his first weekly conference accolade of the season. The WVIAC announced Monday that Thornton and West Liberty's Alex Falk are the Co-Players of the Week. This is the second time this season a Falcon has earned the honor.
The Falcons picked up two wins over the past week with help from Thornton averaging 27 points her contest. The sophomore also averaged four assists and more than four rebounds. Thornton shot 65 percent from the floor, going 20-31, 8-12 from beyond the arc.
The first FSU win came over Penn State-Beaver. Thornton had 28 points, playing just 30 minutes of the game. The Falcons then picked up a two-point win over Concord. In that game, Thornton had 26 points, five rebounds and three assists. The young gun accounted for six of FSU's final 10 points.
