Harrison County Felons Arraigned on Murder, Sexual Assault, Robbery Charges

Judge Thomas Bedell held Harrison County circuit court arraignments Thursday.

He was scheduled to arraign 62 individuals; four of them are involved in cases we've been following.

Randy Stout, 37, pleaded not guilty to murder and wanton endangerment. He is accused of killing his father in Cambria in July 2011. Bedell scheduled his trial for February.

Bedell also arraigned Scott Swiger on seven counts; three are sexual abuse in the first degree, three are sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or a person of trust and one is for the distribution of obscene matter. Swiger pleaded not guilty to all counts. His trial is set for March 19.

Bedell arraigned Thomas Murin, charged with two counts of sexual assault in the third degree. Murin pleaded not guilty to the charges. Bedell set his trial for April 2. He is currently free on $50,000 bond.

Nicholas Canfield pleaded not guilty to three charges, including two counts of robbery in the first degree and wanton endangerment involving a firearm. Bridgeport Police said Canfield robbed prescription medicine from a person in the parking lot of Best Care Pharmacy in August 2011. Bedell set his trial for April 16.
