Watts Museum Exhibit: 'Defying the Darkness' on Display through July 2012

Watts Museum Exhibit - 'Defying the Darkness' will be on display from Nov. 2011 through July 2012 at WVU, 401 Evansdale Drive, Mineral Resources Building in Morgantown.

The exhibit will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment.

WVU's The Royce J. and Caroline B. Watts Museum, located in the Mineral Resources Building, Evansdale Campus, presents its latest exhibit, "Defying the Darkness: The Struggle for Safe and Sufficient Mine Illumination," through July 2012.

The exhibit explores the history of mining lights, focusing on the mining industry's successes and setbacks in bringing safe, sufficient lighting into the mines.
