Pink indicating the colder air for Wednesday. Highs holding around 30 degrees.
Here is that little weather disturbance over WV Thursday afternoon. Minor snow accumulation expected.
Here comes rain showers late Friday. This will spill over into Saturday.
Tuesday is looking like one of those days that belongs in April. Highs will jump once again into the upper 50s ahead of a strong storm system in the Midwest. We do expect the rain to pick up Tuesday ahead of the system by early morning. Some of the rain could be moderate to heavy, and there could be an isolated thunderstorm as the low moves closer to the state.
Showers become more scattered during the afternoon, then expect temperatures to drop late in the day as cold air pushes in after the front passes. The winds will be quite breezy, ahead and behind the front. Snow showers will be possible during this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning time frame. Higher elevations over eastern West Virginia could pick up an inch or two of snow.
A quick moving clipper will produce some snow showers on Thursday. Some minor accumulations possible, an inch in the lowlands with one to two in the eastern mountains.
Most of Friday looks dry, until a front approaches late with a rain or snow shower. Rain showers will be likely on Saturday as the front pushes over the state.
Behind this system, it looks to get mild again for Sunday and Monday. At this time, we are thinking highs well into the 50s. Monday, we could easily see 60 degrees in some locations. WOW, back on the weather seesaw!
